Since my relocation back to Penang, I'm finding it a-pain-in-the-ass to use a laptop instead of my normal comfy desktop. Not having my desktop computer to me is like losing my other half.
Today, I have something to share with you guys out there.
Found new home for 2 beautiful pom pom and BOTH the new owners and poms looked happy meeting up with each others. I would consider today a successful day, slow start but with good ending.
Since the adopters are from the temple, I chipped in a small token and passed them a small red packet wishing them and their new dogs well.
Here are the Poms!
Golden the Man!
Baby the Lady!
Wishing them a life time of happiness!
p/s: They look soo much better than the photos.
THANKS to the breeder, the temple sih fus, for giving these two beautiful dogs a chance and a new home! And also sorry for the delay, as I had promised the breeder to find a good home for them since early of this year. Thanks for the patience.

Macho and Yu Yu was on Ilium Ear Drops for 5 days. Their ears were used to be always waxy and reddish no matter how many times I have them cleaned up.
For the 5 days, I dropped 3 drops of Ilium ear drop in both of the ears twice daily and then massage it. The result is great, until now, Macho and Yu Yu doesn't get anymore red waxy discharge in their ears and has been sparkling clean ever since and also not to forget.. their ears are no longer itchy too.
However, according to my sister which she tried it on both of her dogs, she told me it just reducing it but not eliminating the problem. But she says the reason might be because she never put the ear drops religiously and only drop the ear drops whenever she was free. So, that might be the reason the ear drop doesn't work well on her dogs.
If you have tried before Ilium ear drops, do feel free to share it with us! ^.^
This dog has been saved from a good Samaritan and send to Mayo with a broken or injured leg. She will be going for surgery (I dont know when) to fit her broken leg. And of course she is looking for a home to take her him after the surgery.

Any kind soul out there willing to give this dog a second chance to live? She was from a breeder was left at the vet intended to be put to sleep as the breeder doesn't want to spend the time and $ to cure this pity dog after years of using her for breeding.
She is currently under a vet care and looking for a owner that willing to take her up to cure, care and give her a family and home. Of course, there will be due time as the vet also cant take care of her forever right?
Let you know first, the condition is quite bad, so you have to be prepared if you are willing to give this dog a home. Lets give her a chance to have a family and live a normal live alright? If you find her skin problem is disgusting, imagine if you just bought a schnauzer puppy and you might not know, this is your pup's mum. Can u imagine, they breed the mum until like that.. what you get is a cute puppy, but the fact is.... this is the wornout mummy.. overbreeding has caused her body to crashed.
And now, it is time for the breeder to put her to sleep. Think about that!

Yeah, Tiffany and Pui came to stay for 2 days, we had so fun fun together. Their mummy and daddy went back to Penang, so we had chance to do some catch up time together.
Pui Pui who is also Macho's sister was so excited when saw him. Both of them spent their whole just playing and having so much fun for the last 2 days. I miss them being together.
As their mummy was busy with all the preparation to go home, they had no time to bath both of them before coming, so I took the liberty in doing so to make sure they look nice before their pick up time.
There are so many things going through my head these few days with Yu Yu's stomach getting bigger and bigger due to her hydrometra.... makes me missing my sleep every now and then. Surfing online doesn't give me much information about it. I am wondering, anyone who had experience it before that could share with me? Also her vet, Dr. Prem is on sick leave, god shake, don't know until when as he is having bypass............praying prayinngg..... for the best for my kids all the time.
Anyway, I am here today to talk about Macho's neuter as I never manage to finish talking about this topic earlier.
Some of you might known by now that my son Macho has been neutered (a process of removing his testicles).
Before his surgery- Looking v sad already
We did his castration as Gasing Veterinary Hospital and was performed by Dr. Adar. I have to say Dr. Adar did quite a good job although it took a bit longer for the whole process and my boy took quite sometime waking up from the anesthetic jab.
Well, mama will keep it with us forever...
Going home was great for Macho until mama found something amiss when his scrotum became swollen and all bruised up after the 3rd day of surgery.
Since I had no problem neutering my other dogs before this, I never expect such incidence to occur on our beloved BB Macho. So I had him on "warm and cold therapy" for the next 3 days making sure the swollen area gets better. Anyway, it took him more than 10 days for it to subside.
I was quite worried at first so I had called Dr. Adar up to make sure everything was alright and also, to make sure I was doing the right thing. Macho must had been running pretty a lot after his surgery that might have caused the intra-scrotal bleeding.
The fun thing about my boy was he was on E-collar for the past 14 days and he was enjoying every minute of it. He was actually having fun playing it scoping up his food..., toys and hiding his head in it. Weird boy I have. But I am a proud mama here.
Let me tell you the obvious changes I find in him after his neutering. I have to say it is a relief that we decided to have him neutered.... 1. NO more pee pee on bed, and my stuffs 2. No more stealing my clothes 3. More loving now, sleep with us more 4. No more humping his sister Ah Pui
Cons 1. Heavy tear stain after neutering 2. Cost mama approx. RM220.00 (Neutering, medication and E-Collar) 3. Not allow to mandi (bath) for almost 14 days after surgery..made him the BUSUK king in the house..
Looking sad huh... mama woke him up from his sleep to take his picture :)
Well, that's all on macho. Hope you guys enjoy the photos.
Just to let you all know what, Macho boy has been neutered (castrate). For female dog it is call spaying. For human it is also call castrate or orchiectomy.
Call me cruel or what, but I am sure I am not. Tell you why next time. I do really pray hard this procedure being apply to all human sex offenders in time to come. hahaha!
Now,, back to my son Macho.. He has been naughty ever since his birthday, so mama decided to make him tai kam.. sob sob... Thinking how can her only son being so naughty now. Marking all over over home. Where did he learn that.. >,< sweaaat..
He knew he has been super pampered. Though with constant warning from mama, he still doesn't change. Mama doesn't want Macho to get scolding all the time and be sad. So..that is the decision that mama decided to make.
Will show you guys the picture of him later, I have problem loading them up. Stay tune...
It reminded me of a lot of pups I came across when I was doing rescue work.
And why do I ever want to bring it up and talk about it? So If your dog ever get it one day, you will remember that there is nothing to be worry about, so DON'T GIVE UP YOUR DOGS like most did.
SOOO, what is Mange? It is just a skin disease caused by parasitic mites, look horrible, but, it is easily treatable. Please continue reading,,, I would like to tell you more. I try not to bore you.. will try to make it as short as possible.
Those monsters mites dig into and through the skin, causing intense itching and crusting thus slowly turns your cute pets looking like monsters. Hair loss and crusting frequently appear first on elbows and ears. Secondary skin infection is also common. They will be so irritated that they scratches themselves every single minute they have. Can you imagine the itch?
And of course, you need to take them to the vet for treatment. You can try curing yourself for a mild one..I mean not a serious case although it better it is always better to go to the vet. It will cost you a pinch of salt for the vet fees so not to worry much.
Here is example of how it would look like: Mange (The monster)! Of course you cant see it through your naked eyes. Only can be seen through microscope.
Mange looking ears
Mangy looking elbow
Puppy with Mange
Dog with Mange
Cat with Mange
Rabbit with Mange
After looking at the pictures I feel the itch everywhere on me starting from my head to my toes.
Alright, This disease is highly contagious to other animals while normally they do not favor human as they couldn't survive on our smelly skin.
Remember to wear a glove when handling untreated pups. It is essential (a must) to isolate these pups from other healthy pups around your home. Just to let you know some pure breed are more susceptible to mange than others
What is next.. Normally if your dog has got mange, try scratching the edge of his ears, most likely he would take up his hind leg and start scratching it too.
At your veterinary, he would take a little scrap of the infected skin and look through his microscope to hunt down the culprit. If there are mites appearing under his scope, the vet would likely give your dog a jab to kill the mange and some medication to help speed up the healing process and antibiotic for infection. And he would likely ask you to go for visit around 2nd weeks later for another jab. If I did not remember wrongly, there were 3 jabs together for severe case. At that time, it just cost at RM30 for the jab. I am not so sure of the current price. Do check it out with your vet.
You can see relief on your dog after like few days to a week on treatment. Good Luck! p/s: For mild cases, you can try putting "FRONTLINE COMBO" or Revolution not normal frontline though. Always remember to use the correct sizing for your dog to avoid intoxication. Cheers!
